This script makes it possible to adjust the actual screen ppi (pixels per inch) to display accurate print dimensions automatically with Photoshop or Indesign.
This script calculates the actual screen ppi and applies it with Photoshop or Indesign.
1. With Photoshop:
In Photoshop, the script will check the screen resolution, so that you do not have to bring the information.
This script displays the actual size of prints on the screen when you choose View / Print Size.
If you use dual monitors, choose the resolution of the target display in the script dialog.
You must enter the number of the diagonal size of the monitor in the script dialog. If you know the size of the monitor you are using, enter the diagonal size of monitor in the script dialog. But, if you don’t know the size of your monitor or the size is not displayed on the monitor, please measure the size of your monitor by yourself.
2. With InDesign:
Unfortunately, InDesign does not provide information about the monitor resolution, you must enter the monitor resolution by yourself.
*Click your mouse to hover over the 'Action' button and also pressing the Alt(Option), then the default screen resolution will be loaded.
