The zip file will be in your Downloads folder. Unzip it, then launch Lightroom and open Plug-in Manager from the File Menu.
Click 'Add' at the bottom of the first left panel.
Navigate to the file in your Downloads folder and select it.
Click Add Plugin.
You'll need to allow the Plug-in to update the catalog. This adds the new custom metadata fields to the catalog.

To use, select Darkroom Notebook in the Metadata Panel Dropdown on the right in Library.
