Illustrator Picture Wrangler Plug-In for Northplains' Xinet, for macOS, for CC 2017, CC 2018, and CC 2019.

Picture Wrangler Ai CC (21.0) uses Open Prepress Interface (OPI) technology to enable users to relink / switch low-resolution ‘For Placement Only' (FPO) images and high-resolution images, to achieve high quality final press output without system degradation during production.

This Plug-In was tested with the Xinet 19.2.1 and Xinet Studio 1.0.3 releases.

Installation

The Picture Wrangler Ai CC (21.0) Plug-In is installed automatically on download.

To check if it is loaded in Illustrator CC, look for the following menu item: Window > Extensions > Picture Wrangler.


Where to Find

The Illustrator plug-ins are installed to a ”Xinet” directory inside of the Plug-Ins folder.


Usage

In Illustrator CC, select Window > Extensions > Picture Wrangler. A floating palette appears with the following options:

Relink High - Relink to the high-resolution image
Relink FPO - Relink to the For Placement Only (FPO) image
