Free php gallery is a free php script that allows you to upload and display photos on your website in a clean elegant way.

Gallery features:

-Extremely easy to install on your website (just copy files)
-No database required, categories are folders, photo title is the file name
-Admin can upload photos from web interface
-Create, rename, delete photos and categories from web interface
-Select the cover for each category
-Select your own size for photos and small thumbnails
-You can regenerate thumbnails if you later decide to change their size
-When small thumbnails are clicked, the gallery opens in a full-page mode where images are displayed at full size
-The gallery html code complies with W3C code validation standards.

Unzip all files from this zip which you'll find in your Downloads folder called ''free-php-gallery.zip'.

Edit the settings.php file (using Notepad or Wordpad for example) and set your own admin username / password.

Upload the files to your server using an FTP program or Adobe Dreamweaver: copy/paste the zip contents inside the folder of your site, then in Dreamweaver, open the file manager, select the files, right click them and select ”put”.

Access the folder in your browser, e.g www.Example.com/gallery/

You can now click ”admin” at the bottom of the page and enter your user/password.

On the admin page you can create 1-2 categories.

Visit the gallery main page again, click the categories and then the ”Upload photos” button.

No database is required for this script. The categories that you create are actual folders on servers, and the name of your photos is taken from the jpg file name.
