These scripts provide an easy, simple way to construct wallpaper-style fills – they support all 17 ways that a symmetric fill can be constructed. Such fills make fantastic backgrounds; kaleidoscopic possibilities stimulate viewer interest.

Every designer should have this capability in his/her toolbox. To my knowledge, automated wallpaper fills are not currently available anywhere else within the Creative Cloud.

A straightforward dialog box lets you control all parameters of the fill, including the scale of the pattern replications. Using this powerful option and placing related fills on separate layers opens many opportunities to create complex symmetries.

I rewrote this for the current UI environment and updated the supplementary information file.

Unzip the file Wallopaper1-0-4.zip (found in your Downloads folder), and copy all the files into the /Deco directory beneath Photoshop, whose location depends on your operating system:
 In 64-bit Windows:  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Presets\Deco
 In 32-bit Windows:  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Presets\Deco
 In Mac:   Applications/Photoshop CC/Presets/Deco
 – Restart Photoshop (this makes the scripts visible)
