Apache Solr is often the default enterprise search solution for Adobe Experience Manager. However, managing and modifying website search settings typically involves multiple dependencies and configurations. This integration allows content authors to configure search settings within the Adobe Experience Manager interface without any development expertise or any dependency on other user interfaces – including the native Solr dashboard.

The Solr Admin Console within AEM provides the following functionalities:

• Creation of collections
• Add/manage site to a collection
• Indexing site to a collection
• Auto index the content when it is activated, deactivated accordingly
• Build search and search results components integrating with Apache Solr
• Configuring and managing synonyms
• Configuring and managing boosting (Index and query level boosting)
